Bed, Bath & Beyond CFO Jumps To His Death Amid Fraud Charges

Days after Bed Bath & Beyond announced 150 store closures and a layoff of 20-percent of its workers, an executive of the company jumped to his death. Gustavo Arnal, the CFO of Bed, Bath & Beyond jumped to his death Friday from the 18th floor of a downtown Manhattan highrise. He was the subject of a lawsuit over an alleged scheme to inflate the company's share price. And last month, Arnal sold over 42-thousand shares of company stock for a little over a million dollars. The medical examiner ruled his death suicide. If you or someone you know needs help, please contact the National Suicide Prevention hotline at 988, or reach out to the Crisis Text Line by texting ‘Home’ to 741741, anytime.
