Now that Queen Elizabeth has died, the plans are in motion for a period of mourning and her funeral. The plan for the queen's funeral, code-named "London Bridge," has been in the making for years. Since she died in Scotland, a plan code named “unicorn” kicked in yesterday. Her coffin will be moved to the ballroom at Balmoral Castle in Scotland today, then be moved on Saturday to Holyrood, her home in Scotland's capital of Edinburgh. On Sunday, the queen will be moved to Edinburgh’s St. Giles Cathedral. A service will be held at St. Giles, where the queen’s coffin will rest for 24 hours. Members of the public will be allowed to pay their respects.

The queen's body will then travel to London on Monday, where she will lie in state in Westminster Hall for about four days before her funeral. World leaders are expected to arrive pay their respects on September 15th. The official send-off at Westminster Abbey is set for September 17th, in an event to be attended by members of her family, heads of state from all over the world, and key British political figures.
