An 84-year-old Texas woman who was missing for two days is found unconscious with the dog she’d just adopted keeping guard by her side. When Pearl Radcliffe went missing, her friends and family frantically started searching for her and feared the worst. Volunteers from search and recovery organization Texas EquuSearch got involved the next day and soon located Pearl.
The elderly Texan was found unconscious on a sidewalk, with her dog Maximus by her side. She had just adopted the pup just nine days before she went missing and authorities believe he stayed by her side the entire time she was unconscious on the sidewalk.
Pearl was taken to a nearby hospital where she stayed for several days for observation. She is reportedly doing better, but has no memory of what happened during the time she was missing. Her family says that she’s been having memory issues recently. Maximus was taken to a shelter, but the family immediately went to pick up the hero pup and plan on “never letting him go.”
