Amazon is rolling out some new devices ahead of Prime Day. The two-day sales event for Amazon Prime members takes place October 11th and 12th. Yesterday, Amazon announced several new devices at their hardware launch event that are available this year including the Kindle Scribe, a new Kindle you can write on. Also new this year is the Halo Rise, a smart alarm with environmental sensing that can detect sleep patterns. The new Echo Dot has a temperature sensor that automatically turns on a smart fan when it gets too warm and better audio. And the Spotlight Cam Pro is a new security camera with 3D motion detection that sends alerts to your phone.
