Elon Musk demonstrated his new humanoid robot over the weekend. "Tesla A-I Day" took place at Tesla headquarters in Palo Alto on Friday, and featured a showcase of the company's new advances in artificial intelligence.
The star of the show was Tesla's new humanoid robot called Optimus. The event was originally scheduled for August, but was pushed back so the Optimus prototype would be working in time. For Musk, buying these robots will be as easy as buying a car –for around $20-thousand – and he thinks that could be as soon as three- to five-years.
Musk cheered "a future of abundance" ahead and added, "It really is a fundamental transformation of civilization as we know it.”
