The Black Panther is dead - long live the Black Panther!
The newest, longest trailer for "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" is out, and there is a LOT to unpack. As you know, Chadwick Boseman passed before he could reprise his role as T'Challa - and director Ryan Coogler stated that the role would not be recast - but that evidently doesn't mean there wouldn't be a new Black Panther. Coogler says, "I had to find a way that I felt like I could keep going and a way that our Black Panther family could keep going. I started to come up with a film that had elements of the film that we had just finished writing, but also applied the themes that the people who were hurting just as much as me could actually perform and execute and come out on the other side whole."
The film introduces several new characters, including Namor (Tenoch Huerta) and Ironheart (Dominique Thorne), along with most of the original cast. As for the trailer, it shows Wakanda in mourning over their lost king, a confrontation between Namor's people and the Wakandans, and, most intriguingly, what appears to be a new female Black Panther - female, but identity still a mystery. The movie hits theaters November 11th.
