Simon Cowell is headed to TikTok. The talent scout behind "American Idol" and the "America’s Got Talent" series is working with the social media platform to launch StemDrop. It's a project to let users take unnamed songs by famous producers and mix them up and interpret them anyway they want. Producer Max Martin is leading the project. There's no guaranteed record contract, but it does give up-and-comers the chance to co-write a song with some big names. The service launches through TikTok October 26th. Cowell says the project has huge implications. “The premise was always very straightforward…’What would happen if the best songwriters in the world wrote a song for the world?’.”
