This one is actually weirder than it might sound. Sidney de Carvalho Mesquita, from Sao Paolo, Brazil, has now been certified as the holder of the world record for the farthest eyeball pop. Mesquita can make his eyeballs pop 0.71 inches out of their sockets, something he’s been able to do since he was a child.
His unique talent caused his family to think he was sick, but they quickly figured out it was just something he could do. The previous record holder was Kim Goodman, who could pop her eyes 0.47 inches out of their sockets. This skill has a scientific name; the ability to pop your eyes out of their sockets is called “globe luxation.”
