Popup retailer Spirit Halloween has been getting flack for the fake Halloween costume memes and now they are speaking up. The memes include costumes for “Loser,” “Gay Guy,” “Gay Person in terrible outfit” and more. When someone, who thought the costume meme was real tweeted the company, they responded with “This is not an officially licensed costume from our company. Photoshopping our packages seems to be trending at the moment.” They added they “will be passing this to our review team.” The memes are not of real costumes… just a reminder.
