Robotics engineers claim they’ve invented “the world’s fastest shoes” that will make people easily walk at speeds up to 7 mph. Moonwalkers look like skates that can be strapped onto regular shoes, but the battery-powered shoes are controlled by AI and an algorithm that allows users to walk normally.
The shoes went on sale Monday as part of a Kickstarter campaign and are expected to release next March for $1,399. The idea for the shoes came when its founder was almost hit by a car while riding a scooter to work.
