Scrabble Dictionary Reveals New Words

If you play cut-throat Scrabble, make sure you check out the word update. The latest Official Scrabble Players Dictionary has 500 new words. It’s the first update since 2018 and includes shorthands like guac, trademarks like dumpster, and nouns turned into verbs like torrented and adulting. The potentially highest-scoring new word is fauxhawk, a haircut similar to a Mohawk. Jedi, bae, dox, and deepfake also made the list. The new words join more than 100-thousand words of two to eight letters. The Official Scrabble Players Dictionary is the product of a long-standing partnership between game-maker Hasbro and dictionary-maker Merriam-Webster.
