Cold weather means folks in Florida not only have to bundle up but look up as well. That's because of the possibility of falling iguanas and lizards. The cold causes the reptiles’ bodies to shut down and fall from trees. Once they warm up, though, they're fine. Zoo Miami official Ron Magill tells NBC he was almost hit by a falling iguana yesterday, but he didn't touch it and just let nature take its course. Any coldblooded creature will feel the effects of the low temps, but it’s dramatic for lizards since they’re in trees.
