Over 50 Million U.S Adults Will Wager $16 Billion On The Super Bowl

Thanks to more states legalizing sports betting, a record 50.4 million Americans are expected to place a wager of some kind on Sunday’s Super Bowl. That translates to an estimated $16 billion in total money bet on the game in legal bets, illegal bets, and friendly wagers between friends. As far as where that money’s going, Caesar’s sportsbook says 73% of all bets placed and 74% of all money wagered is going towards the Philadelphia Eagles covering the spread (which is currently -1.5 in favor of Philly).
