Disney has released a teaser for the upcoming live-action remake of "The Little Mermaid," which offers a first look at Melissa McCarthy as Ursula the Sea Witch. And that cackle of hers! The clip also shows Halle Bailey as Ariel singing "Part of Your World" and Jonah Hauer-King as Prince Eric as well!
“This film has always been so special to me since I was a little girl. I think we can all resonate with the message and the songs in this film and what it did for us as children,” Bailey has previously shared in an interview.
The movie, which also stars Javier Bardem, Jacob Tremblay, Daveed Diggs, Awkwafina, and Lin-Manuel Miranda, hits theaters May 26th. Director Rob Marshall has promised that his version of Ariel will be a modern woman who is both wise and innocent, with a lot of “soul and heart.”
