In any relationship, trust is one of the most important qualities. This is true for everything from friends to employers to where you buy your food. You need to trust that your supermarket’s products are fresh and safe and that they’re treating you fairly as a customer. And a new survey from Newsweek reveals the most trustworthy grocery store in America.
Newsweek and market research firm Statista polled 25-thousand U.S. adults to find out which companies they trust the most.
- The survey looks at 31-hundred major businesses in categories from banks to energy & utilities and only 700 are considered trustworthy, based on the results.
- That 700 includes a total of 33 grocery and convenience stores and the one that was rated the most trustworthy is the Florida-based chain Publix.
- It’s one of the fastest-growing grocers, with 25 new stores opened in 2022 and it’s known for its bakery, meat department, and high-quality store-brand products.
- The employee-owned chain regularly gets high ratings for its positive workplace culture and “Fortune” named Publix one of the 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2022.
- Idaho-based WinCo Foods comes in second and Kroger is ranked third.
