Dolly Parton was on “Good Morning America” yesterday to promote her new children's book “Billy the Kid Makes it Big.” But Parton also gave some hints about her upcoming performance at the ACM Awards.
Parton will be co-hosting the show with Garth Brooks and performing the first single from her upcoming rock album, “Rock Star.” She shares that the song, “World On Fire”, will apparently be about trying to ”heal the divide and just get a long a little better…it's really got a great message to it. But it's also good and solid, kind of like a rock anthem.”
Parton was inspired to make the album after being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and has enlisted the help of many rock legends to collaborate on the album. The ACM Awards will be on May 11th and will stream live on Amazon Prime Video.
