Last week we asked the question: is a Dierks Bentley/Miranda Lambert collab on the way? We now have a definitive answer, and it's better than what fans had hoped. The singers announced on Instagram (with another, longer clip) that yes, they are working together - but on multiple songs.
The songs will be featured on the CBS drama, "Fire Country." "Got some exciting news for y'all! @DierksBentley and I have a few new songs that will be on@FireCountryCBS," Lambert said in an Instagram post that also appears on Bentley's profile. "Tune into the show for the next two weeks on @cbs to hear em."
According to reports, the song in the clip is called "Saved" - and that song and a tune called "Still Burning" will appear on the May 12 episode of the show, while another duet called "Something in the Water" will be featured on the season finale, on May 19. Bentley also recorded a solo tune called "Barbed Wire Heart," which can also be heard on the finale. So, it may be be about firefighters, but "Fire Country" is certainly bringing the country as well.
