It’s ABC’s turn to deliver some news- and it’s not great for three series. “Alaska Daily” and “The Company You Keep,” two shows in their debut seasons, will not see a second. Meanwhile, TV superproducer David E. Kelly’s “Big Sky” won’t get a fourth turn at bat.
Slumped ratings are to blame for all three cancellations, even though the Hillary Swank-starring “Alaska Daily” performed the best of the three. ABC reportedly has six pilots in the running to make it to series for the upcoming 2023-2024 season and hasn’t revealed the fate of a number of their series, including the “Roseanne” spinoff “The Conners.”
