Jelly Roll's career trajectory has been nothing but up - and fast; the last year has seen a lot of success come his way. He's met - and performed with - many of the big names in Nashville; but when he was asked before the ACM Awards last week who he really wanted to meet, he didn't have to think very long.
"Garth Brooks, I just want you to know I’ve been a fan of yours my whole life…I’ve seen you twelve times…I’ve seen you live more than any other artist by eleven times…ok? Garth if I get a chance to just tell you what your music means to me in person, that’d mean a lot, but if not, I hope you see this."
No word on whether Garth saw the interview or not, but as luck would have it - he was hosting the ACM's and Jelly Roll was performing, so they did eventually meet up - and JR gave Garth a huge bear hug, telling him "GOD, it's so good to meet you!" Bucket list item - checked off.
