The Season 21 finale of "American Idol" is slated to be three hours long - lengthy by any television standards. But ABC is ensuring music fans will get a full night of entertainment by bringing in a bunch of big-name performers to join the "AI" finalists.
And not just the finalists: the top 12 contestants will all be returning to perform, and the three judges - Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan - will be performing as well. But as the infomercials say, "Wait! There's more!"
You'll also get your three finalists: Colin Stough, Megan Danielle and Iam Tongi. On top of that, music fans will get performances from season two winner/runner-up Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken, as well as Ellie Goulding, Jelly Roll, Pitbull, TLC, James Blunt, Jazmine Sullivan, REO Speedwagon’s Kevin Cronin, Kylie Minogue, Lainey Wilson and Lauren Daigle.
All that, and you'll also find out who comes out on top as your "American Idol" for this season. The finale airs Sunday night at 8pm Eastern on ABC.
