It didn't used to be this way, but once Nashville got an NHL franchise, Music City became a hockey town. Country stars are regularly seen at Nashville Predators home games - and now the National Hockey League has announced that the 2023 NHL Awards will be taking place June 26 in Nashville. And the location isn't the only thing country about this year's awards.
This year's ceremony will be hosted by country music superstar Dierks Bentley, while Dierks' son Knox Bentley will serve as a "special correspondent." Also on hand to present: LOCASH, Dustin Lynch, Trevor Rosen (Old Dominion), Darius Rucker, Jelly Roll and Trisha Yearwood. Additional performances will feature Brett Kissel, MacKenzie Porter and Alana Springsteen.
The celebration of the NHL's best regular-season performances will be broadcast live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on TNT in the U.S. and Sportsnet and TVA Sports in Canada, at 7 p.m. CT / 8 p.m. ET. Tickets to the event are available for purchase here.
