Willie Nelson Dropping First Bluegrass Album; First Track Out Now

Over the course of a 70+ year career and 150 albums, it's hard to believe Willie Nelson hasn't done it all - but there is one surprising musical genre he hasn't tackled.

He's had pop hits, done albums of jazz and MOR standards, of course tons of country - but one genre Willie never waded into was bluegrass - until now. Announced yesterday, the legend is releasing an album of bluegrass tunes, imaginatively titled "Bluegrass." The album features classic Willie tunes, written by the icon, but done in a bluegrass style - and he's bringing some accomplished musicians along for the ride, including Union Station band member and mandolinist Dan Tyminski and harmonica master Mickey Raphael.

Hear the first released track, "You Left Me A Long, Long Time Ago" to the right, check out the track list below - and mark your calendars: the album drops September 15.
