Would you be surprised if we told you Paramount is about to release a prequel to 1980s novel/horror flick “Pet Sematary?” Well, we’re surprised to tell you it’s true.
“Pet Sematary: Bloodlines” is a new Paramount+ film that is said to be based on an unreleased chapter Stephen King wrote for his infamous novel. Deadline reports that King refers to this unseen work as “his scariest property.”
Set in the 1960s, the story follows Jud Crandall (brought to life in the OG movie by “The Munsters” icon Fred Gwynne), who discovers evil in his town and decides to fight it off. “Pet Sematary: Bloodlines” will be part of Paramount+’s Halloween-inspired programming and will land on the streamer on October 6th.
