There’s a Blue Moon tomorrow night and it’s also a supermoon. That means it’s the second of the month and will appear much bigger than a typical full moon. The super blue moon will reach its peak at 9:36 p.m. Eastern. It isn’t good news for coastal areas in the path of Hurricane Idalia, though. With a full moon brings extra high tides and a supermoon makes the tides even higher. Idalia will make landfall tomorrow morning on Florida’s west coast and may eventually whip around and give the state a second lashing.
