* WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations of 3 to 6 inches, except 1 to 3 inches over the lower elevations of the central Shenandoah Valley. Ice accumulations of one-tenth to one-quarter of an inch, with the highest potential for ice over the central Shenandoah Valley and northern Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains.
* WHERE...Portions of western Maryland, northwest and western Virginia, and eastern West Virginia.
* WHEN...From 7 AM to 7 PM EST Saturday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Precipitation is expected to begin as snow between 7 and 10 AM. The snow will mix with and then change to sleet and freezing rain between 10 AM and 1 PM over the central Shenandoah Valley and northern Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains. Precipitation may mix with sleet elsewhere after 1 PM, before ending during the early evening.
