Enjoy free admission to the MSV galleries, including the exhibition Marvelocity: The Art of Alex Ross, browse comic and pop-culture merchandise available for purchase from vendors (including Main Street Geek, Four Color Fantasies & Winchester Book Gallery), have your portrait taken for an online cosplay contest, meet regional artists to see their work and processes up close, enjoy free activities for kids, and more. Costumes welcome! Be sure to stop in the Museum Store to browse Marvel-themed merchandise—including signed & numbered Alex Ross prints—and enter a free drawing to win an Alex Ross book!
A free guided tour of the Marvelocity exhibition will take place at 1 p.m. (meet in the gallery level lobby). Registration not required.
Cosplay contest details:
- Participation is free
- The contest will take place online
- From 11 a.m.–4 p.m. a photo area will be set up in the Museum Lobby where participants may enter and have their picture taken (no charge)
- Contestants photos will be posted on Facebook where the public may vote for their favorite costume (contest will be open through midnight, January 31
- Grand prize: Marvelocity-themed merchandise from the Museum Store & a one-year MSV membership ($125 value)
- First & Second Runner Up prizes: Package of 4 gift admissions to the MSV and Marvelocity-themed merchandise from the Museum Store ($80 value)
