In Thailand, the town of Lopburi is being subjected to a real-life of the apes. Not one, but two gangs of monkeys have staked their claim to the town and are engaging in “unprecedented violence.” Currently, authorities are mobilizing in an attempt to “quell the chaos” and “relocate the primates.” Reports say the “violent macaques” have forced police to arm themselves with “slingshots and tranquilizer guns” to fend off the monkey mob. What’s more, the monkeys are intelligent and have learned to scurry at the sight of a tranquilizer gun. Meanwhile, local vendors, drivers, and merchants are becoming more wary of the increasingly bold and unafraid presence.
