Finding a job can feel almost impossible today, but education makes a big difference when it comes to the job hunt. While most people go to college to score high-paying jobs or specialize in a highly-skilled area, not all majors are created equal. And a new report reveals the worst ones for finding a job.
- Visual Capitalist analyzed New York Federal Reserve data to rank the country’s college majors with the highest unemployment rates.
- They also include rates of underemployment - where graduates work less than full-time or are in jobs they’re overqualified for.
- The numbers are of recent college grads, those between the ages of 22 and 27 with a bachelor’s degree or higher.
- The top three are all majors with “art” in their name, starting with Art History at number one, followed by Liberal Arts and Fine Arts.
