“Scary Movie” is back! Paramount Pictures is giving the movie series that spoofed horror movies like “Scream” and “I Know What You Did Last Summer” a reboot.
The studio has announced that they’re teaming up with “Fast and Furious” producer Neal H. Moritz to bring back the comedy franchise. Production for “Scary Movie” is set to begin this fall and the film is expected to be in theaters in 2025.
The last film in the series to come out, “Scary Movie 5” came out more than a decade ago in 2013. Since then, a lot of horror movies have seen huge box office success, including “Five Nights at Freddy’s,” “Smile” and “M3GAN,” so the new “Scary Movie” will have plenty to parody.
