A new “Clue” movie could be coming to to the big screen soon! Hasbro has reportedly teamed up with Sony’s Tristar Pictures and Sony Pictures Television, closing a deal for film and tv rights for the board game.
The “Clue” board game has sold over 150-million copies around the world since it came out in the 1940s. The game sees players try to figure out who killed Mr. Boddy, with narrowing down the murder weapon and suspects like Colonel Mustard and Miss Scarlett.
The previous “Clue” movie, meanwhile, came out in 1985 and featured Tim Curry, Madeline Khan, and Christoper Lloyd. It also featured multiple endings depending on what theater you watched it in! It didn’t do great at the box office…but would go on to get a cult following when it made its way to home video.
