A murder convict in India is in big trouble after police conducted a raid and found the inmate tried to hide a tiny smuggled-in mobile phone by swallowing it. Known only by the name Parashuram, 38, he started complaining of stomach pain and was quickly taken to a hospital, where doctors performed surgery and removed the mobile phone from his stomach. It had reportedly been stuck for 20 days. The police have registered a case against Parashuram for smuggling the phone into the jail, as such items are routinely searched for during prison raids, but Parashuram's unique hiding method has never been encountered before. As for how someone swallows a phone, the tiny phone from China was reportedly so small, it was able to pass through two narrow points in the convict’s gastrointestinal tract. However, it eventually got stuck.
