"Happy Gilmore" is getting a sequel, and it’s coming to Netflix

“Happy Gilmore” is getting a sequel, and it’s coming to Netflix! The first movie came out back in 1996 and starred Adam Sandler as a loudmouth hockey player who takes on professional golf to save his grandmother's home from foreclosure. Sandler is set to return for the sequel.

Christopher McDonald, who played Shooter McGavin in the comedy, hinted at a sequel in March. “I saw Adam [Sandler] about two weeks ago, and he says to me, ‘McDonald, you’re gonna love this…and he shows me the first draft of ‘Happy Gilmore 2.’…and I thought, ‘Well, that would be awesome.’ So, it’s in the works," he shared at the time.
