A massive 12-foot alligator caused traffic jams on a dark North Carolina road recently, as it lunged at passing vehicles. Boiling Spring Lakes firefighters were called to assist after cops deemed the situation beyond their capabilities.
Initially unsuccessful in coaxing the giant reptile off the road, the fire crew resorted to an unconventional tactic: spraying the alligator with a fire hose. This "gentle shower" prompted the reluctant reptile to retreat to its natural habitat. The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office expressed gratitude to the firefighters, noting their actions likely saved the scaly beast’s life.
