Hurricane Beryl Continues To Strengthen As It Reaches 165-MPH Winds

Hurricane Beryl is now a strong Category 5 strength as it heads towards the Caribbean. According to the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Beryl now has maximum sustained winds of 165 miles-per-hour and is moving west-northwest at 20 miles-per-hour. Forecasters say Beryl is expected to remain an extremely dangerous major hurricane as it moves through the Windward Islands into the southeastern Caribbean, with hurricane conditions possible in Jamaica by tomorrow. Beryl made landfall on the island of Carriacou in Grenada yesterday and caused widespread destruction.
