Hurricane Debby is churning less than 70 miles southeast of Tallahassee, Florida as it prepares to make landfall this morning. A Hurricane Warning is currently in effect along Florida's Big Bend. A storm surge warning is also in effect. Several feet of storm surge has already overtaken the region between Cedar Key and Ft. Myers. Debby is expected to bring a major flood threat to the southeastern U.S. this week, with the National Hurricane Center forecasting "potentially historic rainfall" of up to 30 inches across southeast Georgia and South Carolina through Friday. Thousands of people are without power and that number is expected to increase dramatically.
