A Pennsylvania game warden got an unexpected call to a mini golf course when employees discovered a live groundhog chilling in the claw machine. The Pennsylvania Game Commission, Southcentral Region, shared on Facebook that Game Warden Salvadore Zaffuto arrived at Meadows Family Fun Mini Golf to find a groundhog living its best life among the stuffed animals.
Zaffuto "saw a wave of stuffed animals move as the groundhog scurried around underneath, then it popped its head out to assess the situation," the post said. Talk about a surprise prize! A rep from the claw machine company was summoned to unlock it, allowing Zaffuto to free the furry intruder.
Thankfully, the groundhog was unhurt and was safely returned to the wild, where it hopefully stays away from arcade games in the future.
