Chick-Fil-A Opens Its First Restaurant With Elevated Drive-Thru

Today (Thursday, August 22nd), Chick-fil-A is launching its first elevated drive-thru restaurant, which is designed without a dining room and focuses solely on drive-thru service. The new McDonough, Georgia, location uses a unique conveyor belt system to move orders from the second-floor kitchen to the four-lane drive-thru below and has the capacity to serve two to three times more vehicles than a standard Chick-fil-A. This new concept comes on the heels of the chain opening their first mobile-order pickup restaurant in New York City earlier this year that focuses solely on delivery and pickup orders.
