California Stadium Featured In “A League Of Their Own” Is Destroyed By Fire

The California baseball stadium featured in the blockbuster film "A League of Their Own" has been destroyed by a fire. Officials say the Jay Littleton Ballpark in Ontario, California, went up in flames Thursday night and is "a total loss." A city spokesperson says the stadium's grandstand was wooden and likely burned very quickly. The grandstand was completed in 1937 and was designated a historic landmark in 2003. In 2021, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
