Dad Spends A Year Turning Home Into Daughter’s Dream Wedding Venue

When Madison Proznick got engaged to Brandon Bowling, they were trying to decide where to have the wedding. The couple had their engagement party at her childhood home and loved the idea of tying the knot in the same location, but the bride-to-be was torn. She says she “always dreamed of getting married at the house,” and after thinking about all the special moments she’d celebrated there, she knew that’s where it had to be.

Madison’s parents love to entertain and were excited to host the nuptials at their home, but they had a lot of work to do to get it ready. The backyard is on a slope and had a huge garden bed that her dad had to remove to make room for chairs for the guests, but that was just one of the projects he spent a year doing. The mother of the bride also did work inside the house, like wallpapering the bathrooms and focusing on details to transform the space into their daughter’s “dream wedding venue.”

Their hard work paid off and when Madison and Brandon said “I do” on July 13th, they were thrilled with the house and backyard. The bride created a heartfelt video giving a behind-the-scenes look of some of the work her dad did to transform the home and it’s since gone viral on TikTok. “It was like a true ‘Father of the Bride’ wedding,” Madison says. “It was like the best day of our lives.”
