A Woman's Home Is Overrun By Over 100 Raccoons

A woman in Washington was overwhelmed by over 100 raccoons after feeding them for nearly four decades. Last week, the animals surrounded her, forcing her to flee to her car and call for help.

The woman explained that while she’s been feeding the raccoons for about 35 years, the large influx only started about six weeks ago. She said the raccoons surround her day and night, demanding food, and noted she’s been quoted up to $500 per raccoon to trap and relocate them.

Deputies referred her to the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife for assistance in managing the situation.
