The Most Handsome Men In The World, According To Science

Whether it’s your celebrity crush or your partner, we all have our own idea of who the best looking guy is, but we now have an official ranking, thanks to science. A study led by facial cosmetic surgeon Dr. Julian De Silva used the Greek Golden Ratio of Beauty to determine the most handsome men in the world. And it’s probably not surprising that you’ve seen most of them on screen.

  • For the study, De Silva turned to the Golden Ratio, a mathematical equation created by the Greeks as a way to measure beauty.
  • It can be applied to all kinds of things and was used by Leonardo Da Vinci to make the perfect human male body in his famous piece, the “Vitruvian Man.”
  • The idea behind the Golden Ratio is that the closer the ratios of a face or body are to the number 1.618, the more beautiful they are.
  • So, who is the most handsome man in the world, based on the Golden Ratio? Actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson, with a score of 93.04%.
  • De Silva explains that what makes him so handsome is the “overall shape of his face,” which scores a 99.2%.
  • “Emily in Paris” star Lucien Laviscount comes in second with a score of 92.41%.
