Ways to Declutter Without Procrastinating

With everything going on in our lives it’s tough to manage household clutter. Procrastination is the biggest stumbling block to cleaning up, but luckily expert therapist Meredith Beardmore is offering some advice on how to overcome the hurdles. There are three steps to focus on:

  • Categorize! Make three piles: items that belong elsewhere, items for trash, and items you are not ready to decide about
  • Remember Your “Why.” Keeping the reason why you are decluttering in the forefront of your mind
  • Move On Without Regret. Don’t feel guilty about tossing something you spent money on
