Did you remember to wash your Christmas tree this year? If you’re one of those who wait until the last minute to get your live tree or put up your artificial tree, here are some tips to get it cleaned up for display inside the house.
For live trees, stand the tree outside and let the branches fill out and relax. After that, give the tree a gentle spray from top to bottom to clean it off. Then, let it dry out or use a leaf blower on it to speed up the process.
For an artificial tree, take it outside and shake the dust off the individual pieces. If you’ve got a sturdy one, you can use a vacuum attachment to get some of that dust, assuming there are no lights or ornaments in the way that’ll get damaged. You can also use a light duster or a damp cloth to get rid of some of that dust.
Now, be honest, how many of you have ever once thought of cleaning your Christmas tree?
