Jake Owen is “still processing” an unforgettable night.

Owen took part in “Last Call: One More for the Road – The Finale” lineup on Saturday (June 27) at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. The all-star show marked country legend Alan Jackson’s final performance as he retires from a decades-long touring career. Jackson, 67, included Owen, George Strait, Lainey Wilson, Little Big Town, Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Lee Ann Womack and others in the lineup. His nephews and niece Adam Wright, Big City Brian Wright and Carlisle Wright, also took part in the show.

“While everybody keeps chasing what’s next, we all hit pause Saturday night to honor the man who never chased anything but the truth,” Owen wrote as he reflected on the show in an Instagram post on Monday (June 29). “Alan Jackson’s Last Call at Nissan Stadium wasn’t just another show. It was a room full of us — George Strait, Luke Bryan, Riley Green, Luke Combs, Eric Church, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, Lee Ann Womack, Carrie, Lainey, Thomas Rhett, Little Big Town, and so many more….standing on the same stage to say thank you to the guy who paved the damn road for all of us.

“I got to sing one of his classics, look out at 50,000 people singing every word, and feel the weight of what real country music is supposed to be,” he wrote. “Before we even hit the stage, Alan gifted us a handwritten note and a custom belt buckle that I’ll carry with me forever. Man… still processing it. 20 years ago I was a kid opening the show for ol Alan and Brooks And Dunn. It was a highlight of my life then, and then Saturday night capped it off!

“Legends like him don’t come around often,” Owen concluded his post. “Grateful I got to be part of his final bow. This one’s for the real ones. What a night.”

Across Nashville, more than 80,000 fans experienced the legendary artist’s final performance, per a press release issued Tuesday morning (June 30). ‘Alan Jackson: The Last Show’ will air as a televised special on NBC and the following day on Peacock in December. The date has not been announced as of publication time.
