A new film telling the story of the life and career of Shania Twain is currently in development. Leah McKendrick will direct from a script she wrote, with Shania producing the film. Twain's life story is one of overcoming adversity; from living in poverty in her native Canada, playing bars at 8 years of age, before heading to Nashville and immediately having her first album flop, only to become one of the best selling music stars of all time. Other than that the project is in development, no other details have been released.
