Tennessee Combats AI With “Yeah, It’s Real” Program

Tennessee is putting a verified stamp of authenticity on its vacation ads to fight back against fake, AI generated travel pictures. The state tourism department is launching the “Yeah, It's Real” certification program. The move follows a new study showing 95-percent of travelers failed to pick out real photos when shown side-by-side comparisons. Because three-quarters of Americans refuse to book a trip without seeing pictures first, state officials say they will attach location data to their marketing photos to prove the destinations are completely genuine.
