Teenager's 'Promposal' To Girl With Down Syndrome Goes Viral!

A high school student asked his best friend's little sister, who has Down syndrome, to prom.  Shaedon Wedel, a senior at Newton High School in Newton, Kansas, had been planning to ask Carlie Wittman, 15, to be his prom date since the beginning of the school year, and he finally did it last Friday.  Shaedon, 18, posted a video to Facebook that shows him walking up to Carlie's doorstep with flowers, a bag of Doritos, and an amazing shirt that said: "I know I’m NACHO your typical Dorito but . . . I'm going to be CHEESY and ask: will you go to prom with me?"  He then officially asks her, "Will you go to prom with me?"  Carlie can barely contain her excitement and covers her face in disbelief before saying yes and giving Shaedon a big hug.  Shaedon posted photos and videos of the "promposal" online, and they've quickly gone viral!  Shaedon explained to CBS News that he's known her older brother Carson for years, and he thinks of the Wittmans as basically his second family.  He also tells why he made the choice to include Doritos in the "promposal." -- “I decided on the Doritos theme because I have known her for seven years and there has not been a day that I have not seen her eat Doritos,” Shaedon said.  "She absolutely loves them!” -- “My main goal is to make her prom as special as possible,” he added.  “She says she wants to be a princess like Cinderella, and it would mean everything to make her feel that way.”
