Every morning, Barbara grabs a coffee from the drive-thru window at Dutch Bros. in Vancouver, Washington. But while Barbara sat in her car and waited in line like usual in March 2016, something in front of her caught her eye.
On this particular day, it was taking an abnormally long time to get through the drive-thru. The driver directly in front of her was holding up the entire line, and the employee working the window was speaking with her.
Seconds later, two more teenage employees gathered at the window. What could possibly be taking so long?
Suddenly, Barbara noticed the trio of employees pile on top of one another, lean out of the window and reach toward the thirtysomething woman in the driver’s seat ahead. The young men tightly grabbed onto the woman’s hand at once. Barbara snapped a photo.
