Target has recalled about 560-thousand water-absorbing Easter and Dino toys due to risk of being ingested. The colorful toys have been recalled because of a choking and swallowing hazard.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the recall on the "Hatch and Grow Easter Eggs" saying that if the toys were ingested by a child, it could expand inside their stomach and lead to internal obstructions, ultimately leading to surgery. What's more troubling is there’s a possibility the toys might not show up on X-ray, according to the CPSC.
Recall Details:
Hatch & Grow Easter Eggs, Easter Grow Toys and Hatch Your Own Dino toys. Easter toys and eggs model number: 234-25-100 (located on the back of their packaging). The Dino egg is model number: 234-09-0016.
Consumers can bring the package to a Target store for a full refund.
