Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of Merle Haggard’s death, and what would have been his 80th birthday. His good friend Willie Nelson decided to pay tribute to the legend with a song.
Willie released the single “He Won’t Ever Be Gone,” from his upcoming album ‘God’s Problem Child.” Below you can see a black and white video that features some old footage of Merle, and clips of of Willie recording the song.
